Lhasa: Day 1

We arrived in Lhasa around 4pm today and were picked up by some friends.  Was great to get back into the city but also a stark reminder that the summer time here is Tourist Central (20k-30k) a day as well as a constant reminder of the modernizing force that drives China.  Good to be working rather than touring, but Im sure we’ll get out at some point.
